Experience
Emily started her career in the Singapore Legal Service after completing her pupillage in one of Singapore’s major local law firms. She served as a Justices’ Law Clerk in the Supreme Court before honing her legal and drafting skills as a State Counsel in the Legislation Division of the Attorney-General’s Chambers.

Corporate M&A
- Assisted in the acquisition of a payment services licence holder involving applications to MAS for the takeover – which was successfully approved within 2 to 3 months;
Finance & Capital Markets
- Successfully appealed for the removal of a company from the MAS Investors Alert List.
- Successfully assisted an overseas fund manager in the listing of their fund on the MAS List of Restricted Schemes, including working with the fund manager to fulfil requirements imposed by the MAS in relation to the listing.
- Advised various clients on the application to MAS for a payment services licence, including overseeing the setting up of a company applying for the payment services licence.

- Successfully assisted client in obtaining Singapore citizenship successfully when numerous prior applications were rejected.
- Guided client in successfully defending an employment claim at the Employment Claims Tribunal.
